Through evolution, the shape of the human skull has transformed by self-domestication, resulting in a less aggressive and more rounded form. The alien-like sculpture suspended by metal chains suggests a lack of autonomy and control, an allusion to the ways in which humans have sought to dominate and subdue animals through selective breeding and other forms of manipulation.
Two panels of pencil drawings next to the sculpture offer a narrative of the process of domestication and its impact on the human skull.
